Ph.D. thesis: "Representations and invariants of the unitriangular group" Supervisor: prof. Aleksandr Nikolaevich Panov; reports by Nikolai Aleksandrovich Vavilov and Ivan Vladimirivich Arzhantsev.

General results

  1. The field of invariants of the adjoint action of the unitriangular and the triangular groups in the nilradical of any parabolic subalgebra is described.
  2. The algebra of invariants of the adjoint action of the unitriangular group in the nilradical of a parabolic subalgebra is studied.
  3. We have the sufficient condition, when the algebra of invariants of the adjoint action of the unitriangular group in the nilradical of a parabolic subalgebra is a free algebra.
  4. We describe orbits of the adjoint action of the unitriangular group ut(n,C) and orbital variaties in ut(n,C) for n<7.
